Sustainable Engineers Association (SEA) brings back their annual sustainability conference with this year’s theme: Sustainability: Beyond the Trend. The event is hosted by SEA UofT and SEA Ryerson and will be taking place Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Myhal Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Sustainability is a recent trending topic in today’s culture and a pressing issue in our everyday lives and industries around us. Sustainability is being used everywhere from media to politics. But, sustainability is not just a trend. The conference aims to expand our reach and bring together individuals from different sectors - government, industry and academia alike - to explore the true meaning of sustainability and its possibilities and opportunities. Following through with the overwhelming success of the last annual conference, we wish to outline the current social, economic, political and environmental sustainability initiatives and trends in corporations and organizations of every scale once again. By hosting key-note speakers and panel discussions, we aim to make this an informative event for students, professionals and the general public to facilitate meaningful discussions on sustainability. Through the course of this conference, we wish to connect like-minded individuals from diverse backgrounds who can collaborate and make long-lasting relationships to work towards a brighter, and greener future.
