Swedish Axes & Albertan Spirits

Ruffians drink whisky, and every good ruffian deserves a quality axe. We plan to enjoy both. Taste six different locally crafted whiskies and spirits from the Alberta Distillery while learning the tricks of fire-starting from our own Doug McCormick.
Doug has a lifetime of experience cutting kindling, and will show you proper chopping form, as well as his tried and true fire-starting technique. What makes a great axe? Doug will teach you all about it.
Peter-Paul of Beam-Suntory will share his wealth of knowledge on Alberta made spirits. Often overlooked, our province has many tasty spirits to be enjoyed. During this event you will taste 0.5 oz each of six local spirits, which is covered by the ticket price ($4/ 0.5oz pour).
