Explore A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature and OMNIMAX film PULSE: A STOMP Odyssey!


Triple O’s will be OPEN!



Our next SWEET (Science World Extravagant Evening for Teens) is coming up on June 28th! Come for a fun, FREE evening and explore patterns in music and the natural world! Discover marvelous patterns in sound, music, and nature! Come and earn raffles for a chance to win amazing prizes! Grand prize: TWO passes to Science World!

We will feature Science World’s newest exhibition, A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature! There will be instruments available to play provided by the Vancouver Public Library, as well as explorations of the circle of fifths. Build original origami structures, create fast growing crystals, experience sound illusions, and explore the wonder of The Super Dope Stroboscope! This is also your chance to watch the phenomenal OMNIMAX film PULSE: A STOMP Odyssey for FREE in the geodesic tied as the largest dome theatre in the world!

Vacouver Public Library's Teen Advisory Group:

TAG stands for Teen Advisory Group – a place where you can share your ideas about the library’s teen programs, services and collections! TAG meets once a month September-June and TAG members participate in library and community activities, develop and lead teen programs, buy items for the library’s teen collections, and promote the library as a great place to be.

Musical Instrument Lending Library:

The Sun Life Financial Musical Instrument Lending Library at VPL is a collection of instruments that you may borrow using your Vancouver Public Library card. The collection is located at the Central Library. Ask staff for assistance retrieving the instrument you want to borrow. The instruments can be found by searching the library catalogue.
