Is there reserved seating?

No, it is General Seating both on the main floor of the church and in the balcony. The venue is not massive and all seats are very good.

Can I arrive after the concert has started?

Yes, but kindly wait at the back until a piece is finished before quietly taking your seat.

Is Photography/Video Allowed?

No. Please refrain from filming and taking photos. You may take photos before the concert starts and when the ensemble takes a bow. Otherwise, it is disruptive to others to have phones out. Some professional photos will be taken during the event and shared with members who can forward to family etc

Enjoy a matinee with SweetStrings! An eclectic program with repertoire ranging from Baroque to the Beatles! Free entry/donations appreciated

Join us at Meaford United Church for a concert that celebrates the first year of SweetStrings. Made possible by a Trillium Foundation Seed Grant, this community-based string ensemble is under the umbrella of the Sweetwater Music Festival. Sweetwater, under the artistic leadership of Edwin Huizinga, has been providing incredible concerts with world class, musicans for the past 23 years in the region. www.sweetwatermusicfestival.ca

SweetStrings was born in January 2025 and over 20 community players have come from towns such as: Creemore, Collingwood, Kincardine, Owen Sound, Thornbury, Meaford to rehearse with professional artist mentors bi-weekly. This concert is the result of one year of hard work and SweetStrings is proud to share their love of music with folks in the region.

The 1.5 hour concert will include an intermission and there will be some light refreshments available.
