Event description
This will be an informative and participative session on housing reform for the justice involved.

About this Event

The link between the justice system and homelessness is undeniable. Many within the criminalized population struggle with the stigma associated. As a result, many struggle to find, secure or even maintain long-term safe and affordable housing. As a result of this instability, higher rates of recidivism continue to occur. This session looks to explore the system barriers that prevent many re-entering our communities from succeeding in finding a place to call home.

The first half of this informative session will involve a seminar geared to educating participants on the housing issues for people who are involved in the justice system.

The second half will involve breakout rooms, to allow participants to be a part of the solution. There will be roundtable discussions on best practices to resolve these issues.
