Talent Management Workshop - Helping Employers Attract, Retain and Develop Employees

As Algoma’s workforce ages local employers in all sectors are facing increasing challenges finding and retaining employees. This free workshop is meant to give Superior East employers information on Attraction, Retention and Talent Development strategies AND provide some practical steps addressing each element in any size of employer (especially SMEs).

Leading the workshop is local Human Resource expert Chris Shamess from Credence HR. Chris has more than 10 years of senior human resources experience in both the private and public sectors. His most recently held a senior management position for a multinational oil and gas corporation, where he focused on talent management, resource acquisition, training, coaching and strategic planning for all of Canada. Previously, he worked with the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, helping to organize Family Health Teams across Northern Ontario. Over his career, Chris has had the opportunity to work internationally, sharing and gaining best practices in a variety of business settings.

The workshop is free, but registration is required. Dinner will be provided.
