TAMI - Talking About Mental Illness Series
The goal of a TAMI presentation is to reduce the stigma surrounding the topic of mental health and mental illness, while providing a safe forum for participants to discuss the importance of mental health.
Includes both a CMHA Facilitator and a person with lived experience (see below).
No cost to attend. Pre-registration required to obtain zoom information. Eventbrite will send out the link both the morning of the event, as well as 15 minutes before the start time.

Samantha is a return speaker with the TAMI program – She is a strong community advocate for mental health awareness and has created a blog to share her experiences.

(2) Harrison Wheeler - Thursday, February 10th 2021 (12:00 - 1:00 PM) Harrison is a veteran speaker with the TAMI program – Harrison is a past recipient of the St. Joe’s Foundation Spirit of Hope Award, a peer support worker with CMHA Hamilton and both a comedian and artist!
(3) Adam Pitre - Thursday, February 18th 2021(12:00 - 1:00 PM) Adam has been sharing his story with countless members of the Greater Hamilton Region. Adam has been featured on CHCH news and is a huge advocate for mental health awareness !
(4) Marisa Dmytraszko - Thursday, February 24th (12:00 - 1:00 PM) Marissa has been with the TAMI program for 10 years sharing her story of hope and recovery to hundreds of students and other community members. Marisa works in the mental health community providing support to those living with a mental illness
