Tamil Studies Symposium at York University presents an

Arts Grants Information Session

Saturday, September 23rd at 10:30am

121 Bloor Street East, 7th Floor

 

Are you an artist or arts professional? Do you need funding to support your idea for an arts project? Are you looking for artistic mentorship or professional development opportunities? Are you relatively new to arts grants?

 

Participate in a FREE information session on arts grants from the Ontario Arts Council and the Toronto Arts Council.

 

Learn more about granting programs and eligibility, grant writing and the application process, the importance of support material and budgets, jury selection and the decision-making process. Meet arts council granting staff, hear from successful grant applicants and network with other artists.

 

Schedule

  • 10:30 am: Registration

  • 11:00 am: Artist talks and Qs & As

  • 12:15 pm: Lunch

  • 12:45 pm: Funder information session with the Ontario Arts Council and Toronto Arts Council and Qs & As

  • 2:00 pm: Simulated grant assessment

  • 3:30 pm: Networking and wrap-up

 

Registration is required. Registration deadline: September 20, 2017 on Eventbrite. Spaces are limited.

When you register, please indicate if you have any dietary or access needs.

 

This session will be offered in English. If you require services in French or would like information provided in Tamil, please let us know when you RSVP and arrangements can be made.

 

121 Bloor Street East is in an accessible building and the 7th floor is a scent-free space with barrier-free washrooms. The closest accessible subway stop is Yonge-Bloor Station.
