Ramadan Mubarak! IIT is pleased to offer Salaatul Taraweeh in the blessed month of Ramadan, while adhering to the most recent COVID-19 Shutdown rules of the Provincial Government. Please read carefully:

Taraweeh Format:

We will be performing 8 Raka'ats of Taraweeh immediately after Salaatul Esha. Unlike other years, we will not be attempting to complete the entire Qur'an but will recite shorter portions. This is to minimize the risk of exposure through a prolonged stay in an indoor space.

Huffaz:

Esha and Taraweeh will led by Qari Alai Salem Jahedar, Qari Abdulfatah Jahedar and Shaikh Abdool Hamid

Prayer timings are published on our website and prayer timetables are available at IIT

Security and Closing of Gates

Gates will close 5 minutes prior to the time of Adhan, so please arrive early and ensure that you complete the COVID screening. Our volunteers will direct you to parking, entry and exit. Please be polite and co-operate with our volunteers.

Maximum attendees

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we are limited to 15% of the capacity at IIT or 150 attendees per prayer. If after registering you are unable to attend or wish to cancel please do so immediately by requesting a “Refund” on Eventbrite, or by emailing us at registrar@islam.ca or iit@islam.ca.

Rules for all attendees:

- All attendees must register online and check in before entry

- Please do not attempt to attend/walk-in if you have not registered.

- Children under 10 years of age will not be allowed to enter. Each individual must register and occupy a separate prayer spot.

- All attendees must wear a mask at ALL times covering the mouth, chin and nose

- Bring your own prayer rug and a bag for your shoes

- Enter through the main doors; keep your shoes with you and exit through the gym doors

- Do not socialize with others

- If you develop a cough or other symptom, please remain at home

We will closely monitor the situation and review our procedures accordingly.
