so you recently bought your first tarot deck, but you're not sure what to do next.
or maybe you've had a tarot deck for a while now, or have collected a bunch of pretty decks, but you still haven't quite figured out what you're supposed to be doing with them.
maybe you've been reading cards for a minute, but always with the help of a guidebook, and you wanna learn how to read more intuitively but aren't sure where or how to start.
if any of these sound like you, then you've come to the right place.
in the first 2 hours of the session, i'm going to be teaching you everything i wish i knew when i started out reading. some of the basics we'll be covering:
- what to do after you buy your new deck
- what other materials you need
- the foundational rules of approaching the cards intuitively
- the difference between reading for yourself and reading for others
- how to find/write the story
- how to read 3 and 5 card spreads
- how to build your own spread
- how to not need the guidebook
- how to read reversals
the last hour will be dedicated to q&a, and everyone registered will get a recording of the session the next day, whether u were able to attend or not <3
please bring your deck of choice, and a journal with you for note-taking. you can bring any deck you'd like, but i will be using the waite-smith deck as it is generally the basis from which most modern decks are adapted.

About the organizer
hey! i'm elianne :) tiktok's shape shifting twitchy witch. i'm a writer, teacher, dream interpreter, tarot reader, and content creator who's been a student of spirituality and symbolism for as long as i can remember—my father is a freemason, who was always very intentional in his discussions with me about life and magic when i was growing up; my mother is a seer and dream reader, and i would often listen to her interpret dreams for friends and family. i ended up writing a master's thesis on jungian dream analysis and alchemical symbolism, and am currently finishing my doctorate degree at the university of waterloo.
