Description

Tea Blending Workshop

CJRU invites you to join us at the Oakham House for a midday tea blending workshop, led by Tea Sommelier Carol Mark. Learn to make your own tea or matcha, and hang out in our reading lounge with great books to curl up with, and take home if you please! You’ll take home enough ingredients to make 6-8 teas, and all proceeds go to funding another round of The Refugee Radio Project, led by CJRU 1280 and CultureLink. See below for more information.

Workshop schedule:

11:30am - Tea Blending Workshop #1

12:15pm - Tea Blending Workshop #2

1:00pm - Tea Blending Workshop #3

1:45pm - Tea Blending Workshop #4

2:30pm - Matcha Making Workshop #5

*Workshops are contingent on demand, and require a minimum of 3 participants to run. Tickets for cancelled workshops can be exchanged for workshops running at other times, no refunds will be made available.

————————

The Refugee Radio Project is a workshop for Syrian refugee women and girls, delivered by CJRU and Culturelink. Last winter, sixteen participants were given free transportation, meals and the training to share their stories in a radio documentary series called On Our Way. You can find it on our website, cjru.ca and our Soundcloud account.
