Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

As we age it can be difficult to have conversations on topics that affect our health, safety and well-being. Join the new ‘Tea & Talk series that will provide you the opportunity to start the Conversation!

In October 2017 join Joan Skelton from Community Care Health and Care Network and Carolyn Hemminger from the Alzheimer's Society for Tea & Talk about: Caregiving

When caring for a loved one, there can be many challenges. Often in caregiving we can feel alone and overwhelmed. This workshop will walk you through those challenges and share resources that are available for caregivers and families of seniors.

Need help with transportation? We may be able to help. Call Shauna MacEachern at 705-928-4465.

The Tea & Talk Toolkit was devised from the project Building Foundations in Healthy Relationships for Senior Women that was a collaboration with the Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre and Elder Abuse Ontario in 2013 and funded by the Canadian Women’s Foundation. The Tool Kit has been adapted provincially by Elder Abuse Ontario and being presented to seniors in Lindsay and area on the fourth Tuesday of each month during 2017. Watch for announcements about upcoming sessions.
