Tea & Talk - Increasing Self Esteem in Seniors
Tue, 28 March 2017, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
As we age it can be difficult to have conversations on topics that affect our health, safety and well-being. Join the new "Tea & Talk for Seniors" series that will provide you the opportunity to start the Conversation!
In Session 3 join Mary Walling-Field, Social Worker at the Community Health Center, and Kus Ramgoolam, from Womens’ Resources for Tea & Talk about:
Increasing Self Esteem:
This workshop will guide you through the topic of self-esteem and empowerment. It will include information and tips for maintaining and increasing your self-esteem. Self-esteem is one of the most important factors in
maintaining good mental health. It is influenced by how we value our place in and contribution to society
and the relationships we have with others. As we age, this may change and what we value about ourselves
may also change. We must work to continue to value our contributions, lives and our bodies. This workshop will give you some tips to increase or maintain good self-esteem

The Tool Kit has been adapted provincially by Elder Abuse Ontario and being presented to seniors in Lindsay and area on the fourth Tuesday of each month during 2017. Watch for announcements about upcoming sessions.
