Description

Be the first to experience a new website with classroom readings and activities presented in videos featuring author and social activist Joy Kogawa. This workshop takes place in her childhood home, the newly restored Historic Joy Kogawa House.

Learn strategies to:

  • introduce students to age-appropriate activities that encourage a discussion of the internment of Japanese-Canadians
  • promote awareness and understanding of the diversity that exists within our society
  • support for the achievement of social justice for all peoples and groups
