Get the hands-on training you need to bring amazing coding experiences to Grade 1 &2 students with this FREE workshop!
With the announcement of the updated Ontario Math Curriculum, we are excited to see coding finally included. However, we also recognize you may want more guidance on how to get started.
In this hands-on, interactive workshop we will be exploring how to use the Scratch Jr app to teach coding with Grade 1 & 2 students.
By the end of this workshop, you will have everything you need to run a full-fledged coding unit directly tied to the Ontario Math Curriculum as we learn to code our own animated stories.
We love small class sizes too, so spots are limited to ensure you get the hands-on guidance you need!
While these sessions will be focused on the updates to the Ontario math curriculum, all teachers in Canada are welcome to join in order to discover the power of coding in the classroom!
No previous experience is necessary to join. The workshops will be run virtually through Microsoft Teams.
In order to participate, you will need access to an iPad/tablet with the Scratch Jr app downloaded.
