Description

TEAL MB logo

The TEAL Manitoba PD Day Conference is the largest annual professional learning event in Manitoba for educators of students learning English as an additional language, including specialist teachers, K-12 classroom teachers, Resource and Learning Support teachers, and others interested in EAL learning in the educational setting.

This year, we are very excited to have experts from EAL educators to community services workers with us on the topic of Intersectionality of Newcomer Education.

Participants in this year's conference will be presented with a 2-part Panel Discussion featuring 5 panelists, who will be discussing and answering questions about Religious Diversity, Inclusive Special Education, Mental Well-Being, Sexuality and Gender Diversity with a Cultural Approach, and Inclusivity and Cultural Competency.

These discussions will be followed by six afternoon sessions where participants get to dive deeper in to the intersectionality of working with Refugee and Newcomer Students. Each afternoon session will be repeated to allow increased availability of session capacity.

Pre-register for the Afternoon Sessions in the Personal Information section of your registration. Your session choice will appear on your Conference Ticket.
