TechBoost: So, Your Small Business Has a Website – What's Next?

Generously funded by a Libro Credit Union Prosperity Grant, The TechBoost Program supports the growth and development of small businesses in Windsor-Essex by providing affordable training in information technology tools and products for business. TechBoost is an initiative of Hackforge, supported by the WindsorEssex Small Business Centre.

Congratulations! You've conquered the first step in your digital marketing journey and have setup your small business with a well-designed website, so what’s the next step? Driving traffic to your website and tracking where that traffic comes from of course! In “So, Your Small Business Has a Website – What’s Next?”, we’ll walk through how to drive traffic to your website using search engine optimization, Google My Business and Google Ads as well as how to setup success tracking software such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

Audience: This presentation is perfect for any small to medium sized business owners who have a website, are about to launch a website or are considering setting up a website soon and want to learn how to drive traffic to their website with a combination of free and paid services through Google.

Goal: By the end of this workshop, participants will have clear understanding of how to use a variety of tools from Google to drive traffic to their business website.

We’ll cover:

  • How to drive traffic to your website using search engine optimization

  • An introduction to how Google My Business and Google Ads work

  • How to setup success tracking software such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console

Materials: Please bring a notepad and pen or a computer if you would like to take notes.

Instructor: Sebastian Agosta, Web Designer and Online Marketer

Sebastian is a digital marketer, web developer and WordPress wizard who partners with small to medium sized businesses to grow their online presence through inventive digital marketing strategies. Sebastian has over 11 years of experience working as a digital marketer in Windsor-Essex and holds a diploma from St. Clair College as a Computer Programmer Analyst.
