If you ask us to define the tech sector in Kamloops, our answer might start with “Well… some of our emerging tech companies are 100 years old.”

Take BC’s traditional industries, add and apply technology, mix in the entrepreneurs and innovation emerging from regional universities and you begin to see the ecosystem that is building solutions and products in the BC Interior and exporting them globally. Local companies are developing new technology, some are being enabled by existing technology, and others are taking new technology and applying it to traditional industries.

#TECHFEST2019 is focused on the technology and innovation building Kamloops and the Central Interior of BC today. We’re celebrating innovations in mining, forestry, and manufacturing along with high tech in its many forms across all industries.

This year's event is being held at the heart of the future of technology and innovation, among those shaping the future of BCs high tech workforce, at Thompson Rivers University’s stunning new Industrial Training & Technology Centre.
