Technology & My Child

iPads, Laptops and Summer School Break – Parenting in a Digital World

Are you struggling with managing your child’s screen time?

Do you have a good understanding of the impact of technology on your child’s development?

Would you like to be prepared for a successful summer break with a plan to best manage your child’s use of technology and screen time?

This workshop will examine the impact of the use of technology on a child’s brain, their social and emotional development and their overall physical health. We will cover both positive and negative impacts on children. We will also discuss strategies to parent effectively in the digital age and participants will be provided with practical strategies regarding how to set their children up for success in being good digital stewards.

Come and learn how to lead and teach good digital stewardship. Learn about the connection between technology and childhood anxiety. This workshop will prepare you for a successful summer school break where technology does not become the babysitter for your child.

  • Date: Sunday June 11, 2pm to 5:30pm

  • Cost: $95 ($75 for second parent in a family)

  • Instructors: Kyla Moon and Cameron Keller

Light snacks and refreshments will be available.

Register early as you will need to complete a brief assignment in advance to prepare you to get the most out of the session. Space is limited.
