Event description
Make a difference in your community with the TU20 Case Competition. Gain real life experience helping a local charity with your skills!

About this Event

Do you feel like you don't gain enough real world experience from school?

If you’re tired of doing school work that feels removed from the real world, then TU20 Cases is for you. This year, Tech Under Twenty’s annual Case Competition will bring together students and local nonprofits for a day of learning and problem-solving, giving students the opportunity to work with charities and win prizes (keep reading for more details).

In teams of 2-5 students, you’ll have 8 hours (10 am - 6 pm) to brainstorm, research and present a written solution to a problem that a local charity is facing. The case will be announced Saturday morning at the end of the opening ceremonies.

If you've never done a case competition before, no worries! We'll have a handbook with tips and key techniques to help you get started. We'll also have some experienced case comp mentors to provide feedback and guidance throughout the day!

If the cost of the ticket is prohibitive, you may also fill out our financial aid form and we will review your request on a case by case basis.

Theme: Building Resilient Communities

With everything that has happened in the world during 2020, TU20 is focusing on building resilience in our communities through all of our events. For TU20 Cases this means bringing students and charities together to find new solutions to tough problems, allowing the community to thrive in the ever changing landscape of today's world. Additionally, this year we will be donating all of our proceeds for TU20 Cases to our charity partners.

Charity partners will be announced soon. Follow us on instagram @techundertweny to get the latest updates!
