Our Speakers:
Len Pierre - is Coast Salish from Katzie First Nation. He's educator, consultant, social activist, traditional knowledge keeper. As an agent for change, he leads and advises for systemic transformation in universities across North America. He specializes in the development of educational programs and services with decolonization and reconciliation as it's core value.
Stan Leyonhorst - his passion for accessible design comes from lived experience. He has lived for four decades as a high-level quadriplegic. Stan is dedicated to the idea of access for everyone, everywhere, all the time. Stan is also passionate about universal design. He sees it as essential to achieving the goals of inclusion, universal access and community engagement.
Sergey Toporkov - a recently arrived Ukrainian Refugee to Surrey. He will tell us his story of what happened after the Russian invasion and how he and his wife escaped to Canada. He will share how it feels to be a refugee in a foreign country and how our community can support.
