ENSO Teen Wilderness Expedition

CONNECT.  UNPLUG.  EXPLORE.

Teens Ages 13 – 18 | July 25-30th, 2017

Cathedral Lakes Park BC (departing from Kelowna) 

6 Days exploring alpine trails, wildlife, stillness, breathing practices, art, games, music, meals, campfire, laughter, and the support we create together in camp life.  This expedition explores how to work with life's challenges and supports how to live life with more authenticity, creativity, and deep appreciative joy..

Together we welcome 
and supports teens from all racial and ethnic groups, sex/gender identities, and religions.

FACULTY

Brian Dean Williams, Scott Lawrence, Remington Cooney, Melissa Berry Appleton, Danielle Prins, Nina Fields, Deepa Filatow.  Mindfulness teachers, wilderness guides, registered clinical counselors, art educator, nurse, chef and musicians. (www.ensosociety.com for complete faculty bio).

FEES AND REGISTRATION

Sliding fee scale supports you to choose payment that aligns with your household income and the financial health of your family.  

 

650-1050 dollars.  Tax receipts will be issued for registered dollar amounts over 650 dollars.

 

ENSO will be fundraising and writing grants to create bursaries to remove financial barriers for those who wish to attend.  We aim to never turn anyone away for lack of funds.  If you would like to help make this expedition available for teens in great need, please contact Melissa - melissa@ensosociety.com   Your contribution really makes a difference.

ENSO has just been awarded a large bursary from TELUS to support 10 bursary places for teens to attend.

*These places are available for those with limited financial capacity who would otherwise not be able to attend.  Please send an e-mail to Melissa Berry Appleton to submit a request for your teen.  melissa@ensosociety.com

Following payment, an application and waiver will be issued for both parent and teen to sumit.  (Applicants must complete the registration form and waiver to be considered a viable applicant). 

Refunds will be issued less 150.00 dollars up until 60 days prior to expedition departure date.

This retreat includes;

  • bus ride from Kelowna (2 hours),
  • Alpine truck to base camp (1.5 hours),
  • park permits,
  • 3 meals and snacks each day,
  • trail guides, program facilitation and support (secular Buddhist teachers and registered clinical counsellors),
  • and endless hours of fun!
