Join a group of your colleagues on Friday, May 3rd at 11 am EST for a CATA Teleforum Briefing and Peer Group Q&A with Mark Wolff, Senior Director, Technology Innovation, CANARIE on the benefits of CANARIE's Cloud-Based DAIR (Digital Accelerator for Innovation and Research) program, a unique opportunity for Canadian Small-to-Medium sized companies (SMEs) to accelerate their commercial success by tapping into online testing and commercialization resources.

Background:

Take a video minute with Mr. Wolff to learn about the basics of the DAIR benefits.

Tech entrepreneurs can use the Digital Accelerator for Innovation and Research (DAIR) program to save significant time and money in designing, prototyping, validating, and demonstrating their new technology applications, products and services. DAIR provides an R&D cloud computing environment at minimal cost and in very short time frames, eliminating the need for expensive services or set up your own server infrastructure. Users of DAIR get access to four high performance servers with disc space at no cost for that year.

Companies apply to the program through an online form. They need to outline the purpose and scope of the product they are developing, and the scale of resources being requested, such as data requirements and number of virtual machines.

Governments across the globe are looking at how to adopt tax incentive regimes that will encourage companies to locate, exploit and commercialize technologies in their jurisdictions.  Our consultations demonstrate that action is likewise needed to eliminate Canada's ‘Commercialization Gap.”

The Teleforum Conference Call is a uniquely interactive meeting of invitation-only executives who will also be invited to related venues to extend the information sharing, access to briefing material and encourage peer exchanges.
