Telfer EMBA Alumni Board - Special Presentation: Market Outlook 2021
Event Information
About this Event
The Telfer Executive MBA Alumni Board of Directors invites you to a special presentation: Market Outlook 2021 with special guests from Fidelity Investments and the Charron Gagnon Group.
The global pandemic and the resulting social distancing policies have profoundly impacted the global economy. To avoid the worst-case scenarios, governments and their central banks have ventured into the world of Modern Monetary Theory (MMT). Asset markets including stocks, bonds and real estate are already feeling the effects of this coordination between fiscal and monetary stimulus.
But what are the longer-term implications of MMT? Should we worry about inflation? Could this monetary tool be used to finance the fight against climate change?
Join us to learn more about the world of global finance and investing. In this session we will explore:
- Implications of Modern Monetary Theory.
- Long-term outlook on interest rates and valuations.
- Asset inflation and the importance of diversification.
- Considerations of a Biden/Harris presidency.
- Understanding the transformational nature of secular decarbonization.
* A question-and-answer period will follow the presentation.
** A copy of the presentation will be shared with all participants.
*** This event is open to Telfer Executive MBA Alumni and Candidates Only
