About this event

Award-winning, Toronto-based author Terri Favro discusses her new book, The Sisters Sputnik, inspired by her passion for robots, golden-age comic strips and the history of the nuclear age. Favro will dive into real and alternative histories, emerging technologies, Sunday funnies, the Many Worlds theory of quantum physics and other inspirations for her unique brand of world building.

Following her talk, Terri Favro will do a live question and answer session and book signing. Copies of Sputnik's Children, The Sisters Sputnik and Generation Robot can be purchased at the event from Bakka-Phoenix Books.

This free event will be held in the Merril Collection of Science Fiction, Speculation & Fantasy on the third floor of Lillian H. Smith Branch. Doors will open at 6:45pm and the event will start at 7pm.

No registration or ticket is required. Everyone is welcome!
