Thanksgiving Train Rides!

Hours

The train runs from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm each day listed above in 2017 Train Ride Schedule. The train departs every half hour starting at 10:30 am. The museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm.

How long is the ride?

We are thrilled to be offering longer rides! The rides are now approx. 2 km round trip. They leave from the station along the West track and head north to Cornelia St., switch to the East track and travel along the east side of the property and then back again.

Tickets

$5 (+ admin fees of $0.88) for ages 4+ years

FREE for ages 3 and under

Admission to the Museum is always free on Train Ride Days. Explore the trains and our beautiful 1912 railway station!

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online through Eventbrite.

Do I have to pre-purchase tickets?

Yes, if you want to be guaranteed a train ride. There are a limited number of tickets available for this event. If you are unable to purchase your tickets online, please call the museum to purchase tickets (613) 283-5696.

I have a child under 2, where I can purchase tickets for them?

Children 2 years old and under do not need a ticket, but please be sure to reserve a ticket for them when purchasing your ticket. Tickets are required for anyone over 3 years old.

What if I miss my scheduled train ride?

We request that you check-in at the front desk at least half an hour before your scheduled ride to pick up your train tickets. If you miss your scheduled ride time, we will do our best to put you on the next available train ride, but we cannot guarantee you a ride.
