Description
MAD ABOUT MARGARET'S, an annual gala held by Margaret's, is a fundraiser designed to raise awareness and help end the stigma around mental health issues.
This year's event will be held at the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon at the Toronto Reference Library. We are pleased to announce our keynote speaker for the evening, four-time Olympian SILKEN LAUMANN, one of Canada’s most inspirational and beloved athletes. Silken will share her story of perseverance, wellness and hope.
Acclaimed reporter and anchor, PAULINE CHAN who specializes in health and wellness news on CTV Toronto’s CTV NEWS will MC the night.
New announcement - We are pleased to announce the recipient the 2018 Mental Health Advocacy Award is SERENA RYDER who will be attending the event to accept her award!
This event is the signature event of Margaret’s, a very important charity which provides a continuum of safe and supportive housing for women with mental health challenges in Toronto. For more than 33 years, Margaret’s has empowered individuals struggling with serious mental illness to rebuild and reclaim their lives. This important fundraising event is critical to helping Margaret’s continue to provide essential services to vulnerable individuals. I am a volunteer on this year’s event committee and would love it if you were able to join us for this year’s event.
Cocktail reception and 3-course dinner with wine is included. All profit from the Mad About Margaret's gala will go to programs that support Margaret's initiatives.
