Description

This 4 day intensive is for those looking for a deeper understanding of the anatomy behind their yoga practice.

Learn why & how your body moves. This series will be a combination of lecture, practice and Q & A.

Dr. Kristine Salmon (Chiropractor) will educate attendees on skeletal and muscular structure in relation to yoga postures and transitions. Katie Thacker will guide you through a focused vinyasa sequence that focuses on each daily topic. The Q & A section will be an opportunity to ask body specific questions about limitations and injuries in movement.

You must register for all 4 classes to attend.

Sept 8th 7:00-8:30pm, Session 1: Forward Folds, Spine & Core
Sept 9th 3:30-5:00pm, Session 2: Twists, Spine & Hips
Sept 10th 3:30-5:00pm, Session 3: Backbends, Spine & Shoulders
Sept 11th 7:00-8:30pm, Session 4: Inversions, Knees & Wrists

This opportunity is for you if

  • You are a yoga teacher looking to find a deeper understanding of anatomy and how your students move.
  • You are a yoga student looking to understand your own bodies movement in your yoga practice.
  • You live with mild chronic injury to understand how to move in a healthier way.

This is not an appropriate series for anyone with injuries that heavily limit their movement. You must be able to move through a yoga practice in order to attend. More serious injuries require more focused attention. Please email to discuss private offerings if this is the case.
