Join us for The Annual Distress Line Fundraiser featuring Dr Belanger’s workshop, Mental Health: Creating Strong, Agile Workplaces.

About this event

81% of respondents, in a recent Morneau Shepell study of Canadian workers, reported that the COVID-19 pandemic is negatively impacting their mental health.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic has so drastically changed the lives of Edmontonians, the Distress Line has had an increase in both calls overall, but more notably the number of calls that are critical in nature. The people calling the line are your family, friends, neighbours, colleagues: people just like you.

The Distress Line is in need of your support to continue to be able to this important work!

To ensure that the Distress Line is there when our community needs it most, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Edmonton Region is taking a new approach to The Annual Distress Line Fundraiser. This year, the event is going virtual and focusing on how employers can support themselves and their staff in the workplace. CMHA Edmonton is thrilled to have Dr Lisa Belanger from ConsciousWorks deliver her workshop as part of the fundraiser where she will be providing education, resources, and tangible action to support your employees in her workshop: ‘Mental Health: Creating Strong Agile Workplaces.’

Additionally, all attendees will get free access to ConsciousConnect’s community of support for 3 months. This year’s event will be giving attendees expert support, programming ideas, resources, and metrics to create meaningful, measurable change to unleash the potential in your team.

What is the Distress Line?

The Distress Line provides confidential, non-judgmental, and short-term crisis intervention, emotional support, and resources to people in crisis or distress. It also supports family, friends, and caregivers of people in crisis. Anyone can call the Distress Line any time at (780) 482-HELP.

Help us raise funds to support the Distress Line by joining us for our Annual Fundraiser.
