About this event

Dear CBSA bibliophiles,

Welcome to the Anti-Racism Book Club!

Many great conversations about what we read take place every day, and if you happen to find yourself here, it is likely because you wish to contribute your thoughts, hear different viewpoints, or just enjoy a good book club discussion.

Hosted by Kayla Miller and Cindy Orellana, HR Advisors for the Anti-Racism Unit (ARU), the Anti-Racism Book Club will hold discussions on selected books that center on racism, equity, diversity and inclusion; every quarter will present a different genre.

To get the ball rolling, we will be holding the inaugural discussion on Michelle Obama’s new book, The Light We Carry, on Friday, December 9, 2022. We invite you to pre-order your copy from your favourite retailer, or enter our draw over at the Anti-Racism Book Club’s GCconnex community page.

Together, let us write the next chapter of CBSA’s inclusive workplace culture through our love of sharing and storytelling.
