- A brief history of the homestead

Eager to get out and shoot, we'll grab snacks and car pool to the unique abandoned house Robert has chosen. We've been granted special permission to a picturesque homestead, approximately 30km east of High River.

We will arrive at the property around 6pm. The house is quaint and there is a large barn in the back which will render many creative compositions. Owl's have been known to frequent the barn, so have your telephoto lens ready. Participants will be free to wander the property while practicing their skills.

Sunset is at 8:38pm.

As the sky begins to darken we will gather our tripods together and start the night photography process. Robert will demonstrate the tools and techniques he uses that breath light and life into the house. When the sky darkness and if the skies are clear, Robert will also demonstrate how to compose, focus and expose for the night sky.

Equipment:

- DSLR Camera.

- Wide Angle Lens (18 - 24mm or wider is recommended).
