The Art of Bookfolding

Learn to recycle old, used, and discarded hardcover books into a new work of art by folding the pages to create a word or image. In this workshop, participants will learn to make a simple folded book in the shape of a heart. Once the folding is complete, the participants will also decorate the cover of their book with beautiful paper and embellishments.
• Three hours
• Minimum 6 to a maximum of 10 participants.
• Participants to bring a pencil and a transparent metric ruler – at least 25 cm long.

About the instructor:
Julie Rowe’s first career as a medical lab technologist in Canada took her to the North West Territories and northern Alberta, where she still resides. She loves to include medical details in her romance novels, but admits she’ll never be able to write about all her medical experiences because, “Fiction has to be believable”. Julie writes romantic suspense and romantic military thrillers. Her most recent titles include Viable Threat, the first book in the Outbreak Task Force series, and Viral Justice, book three of the Biological Response Team series.
