Join The Maker Bean Cafe's resident comics expert Joey Matthews for “The Art of Comics”, a beginner class for adults and teens teaching the basics of writing and drawing for comics!

Do you have very little art training? Have you wanted to write but don’t have an outlet? Are you interested in the comic making process? Joey will be offering an intro/sampler class covering the very basics of making a comic strip.

Int his 3-hour session, Joey will cover:
1. Learning to draw a face
2. Drawing body proportions
3. Make a character (using segments 1 & 2)
4. Learning story and writing a script (4-6 panels news paper comic strip style)
5. Sketch Script
6. Colour and letter comic
