Event description

Description

REED stands with and for sexually exploited woman and challenges the demand for their bodies.

To better equip women and men to resist exploitation and embrace dignity, REED is hosting a two-part workshop on gender equality Friday, May 25 from 7 to 9:30pm and Saturday, May 26 from 9:30am to 12pm. This workshop is a great follow up to, or preparation for, our Intelligent Love course.

The Bible empowers and brings freedom to both men and women. Explore mutual relationships and gender equality in Old and New Testament texts with interactive teaching by Mary-Lee Bouma, co-director of REED and ordained pastor with the Christian Reformed Church. The workshop will include small group study and discussion, personal reflection and prayer. Registrants will be sent material on hermeneutics (the study of Biblical interpretation) to help prepare them for the weekend.
