The Speakers

(More to follow!)

Harprit Gill: Financial Advisor & Educator

Featured Speaker - Harprit Gill - Financial Educator

Harprit Gill is a Financial Advisor/Educator, Community Leader and Entrepreneur. She has taken passion of community work & entrepreneurship and combined it with her love of educating people on financial literacy and provide financial solutions. As an individual who grew up in a marginalized community, Harprit noticed the lack of literacy and the barriers to access to sound financial resources and advisors. she decided to take the problem in her own hands and bridge the gaps to ensure our communities have a trusted individual who is relatable and takes a bottom up approach to financial planning. Harprit is on a mission to change lives of everyday individuals and families.  Her goal is to revolutionize communities by teaching people how to build and sustain wealth through a holistic community based approach.

Harp Toor was born & raised in a low-to-middle class community. Growing up he didn't see many people in his community that was successful. Everyone that was around him was living paycheck to paycheck and making enough to get by including his own parents. His parents were immigrants to Canada and he saw how much they struggled just to build a future for their children. He took upon himself to make a change and decided to pursue his post-secondary education in the sports industry. He worked in that field and eventually moved into human resources to help new immigrants find jobs/careers in Canada. In 2012, a tragedy happened in his family,  which made him to take a interest in the financial field. He went out to a financial professional and got a plan for his family. In 2015, he was approached by a financial educator and looked over his family's plan and realized his family was given the wrong advice. At that point, he decided to get involved in the field as a Financial Educator to help people who lacked knowledge like him and make a difference in his community.
