Event description

Description

Science has finally gotten around to proving something that many of us have understood for a long time; stress can be toxic for kids, and effects can last a lifetime.

No segment of society is immune, we are encouraging everyone to attend.

This event will host:

  • Presentation of the film, Resilience: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope to learn what this means for our children and families
  • Guest speaker Dr. Linda Uyeda (GP and mom) making the connection between how emotional things we deal with directly impact our bodies
  • A panel of experts, parents and youth will answer your questions and provide insight

Watch the Film Trailer https://vimeo.com/137282528

Doors open at 5:15pm, presentation starts at 6pm.

Refreshments will be provided.

We will be accepting donations of cash to support the Local Action Team or food donations for the local foodbank.

Contact us at laurieedmundson.sndfp@gmail.com about childcare availability.

This event is brought to you by the Surrey-North Delta Local Action Team as part of the Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use (CYMHSU) Collaborative, funded in partnership by Doctors of BC and the BC government.
