Description

The Boundary Dance: creating strong, connected relationships

Do any of these words come to mind when you think of setting boundaries?

No! Yikes! Scary. Shy. Nervous. Uncertain. Bully. Pushy .... [fill in the blank!]

Does just the thought of setting a boundary conjure up feelings of anxiety, fear, or maybe a knot in the pit of your stomach?

Or maybe you’re pretty confident to say no when you’re asked to do something that you’re not comfortable with, but you’re not sure how to use boundaries to create better relationships with people at work, home or play?

The horses are experts at setting boundaries in a way that is both clear and certain AND highly mindful and connective. This is how a herd thrives – everyone takes responsibility for creating the space the body needs to be authentically present with another. It’s actually a beautiful dance that is part of everyday movement and nurturing of their strength together.

Through our work with the herd we’ve learned that most people struggle to use boundaries effectively because of their mindset - the thoughts and beliefs around using boundaries (mostly inhereted from our upbringing and culture).

AND, when you see this mindset, really get it and how it's impacting you and your relationships, you're ready to SHIFT in a big way.

What's the shift? From a mindset of overpower to empower .. empowering yourself and others to be present with each other in a really authentic way. Are you ready to master simple, practical techniques that you can use in everyday life to create stronger, more caring connections with others?

This one day workshop will help you make a huge leap in the way you think of boundaries and your ability to be aware of when and where to set them, how much to ask for, and how to use them with colleagues, family, partners, friends, even strangers in the grocery store!

Many of our clients have seen immediate and sustained shifts in challenges with work colleagues, between parents and children, with friends. This is not a magic solution. What you’ll learn is a way to think and experience boundaries in a way that is very different from what our culture has taught – you’ll learn the herd way. It takes practice and dedication. And we know if you give it an honest try, you’ll reap the rewards and so will those around you.

During this workshop we’ll be practicing directly with the herd. No horse experience is required and no riding is involved. And, when you learn to set a boundary with a 1400 pound horse, everything else will seem so much easier!

Are you ready to transform the way you think about and use boundaries? Are you ready to bring practices into your life and deepen your connection with your body, emotions and others?

Here's what one client said of how she was able to use what she learned right away, "Previous to the boundary workshop old issue kept resurfacing at work and I was at a loss as how to deal with it! I would just become angry and almost paralyzed. After the boundary workshop I was able to speak my truth and not become angry about it . I felt great with the outcome!"

Space is very limited. This workshop is designed for high interactivity and lots of practice in a safe, and supportive environment.

Cost includes a light lunch, beverages and snacks. Just bring yourself, wear solid close toed shoes and dress for the weather. And come ready for a unique day of exploration with a group of big-hearted people!
