Lakeshore Arts is excited to present the second instalment of our professional development series The Business of Art! This new 6 week series of workshops will be focused on the how-to’s of submissions, exploring the basics of drafting, compiling and submitting project proposals to festivals, galleries and other cultural institutions/initiatives.
Each week we will explore a different component of exhibition proposals - taking an introductory and interactive look at artist statements, CVs, supporting images, formatting, and where to look for opportunities.
Facilitated by practicing visual and conceptual artists, the series will draw on the current experience of creative professionals, as well as actively encourage peer input and collaborative problem solving.
Lakshore Arts Artist Members benefit by a reduced workshop cost for the series paying only $5 per workshop or $25 for the 6 week series.
Non-members costs $10 per workshop or $60 for the 6 week series. Non-members who sign up for the 6 week series will receieve a year long Lakeshore Arts Artist Membership as part of their registration cost.
