Join Indigenous comedian Candy Palmater and a few of her very talented friends for a special edition of her multiple award-winning national variety TV show, The Candy Show—an indulgence in Canada’s best talent!
In this special encore presentation originally filmed for the TRANSFORM Cabaret Festival presented by Urban Ink & The Cultch, Candy will be joined by special guests including:
● Interdisciplinary Cree visual artist who is widely known for his provocative interventions into Western European and American art history Kent Monkman
● Comedy legend, gay icon, Second City veteran, and freakin’ national treasure Elvira Kurt
● Classically trained Indigenous tenor, composer, musicologist, performer, and activist, Jeremy Dutcher
● Up and coming Indigenous ballet sensation Cameron Fraser-Monroe

Offering dynamic contemporary programming in theatre, dance, music, circus, visual arts, as well as innovative livestream performances, The Cultch is Vancouver’s most diverse and cutting-edge arts and cultural hub. The Cultch’s purpose is to provide a performance space (physical and virtual) for diverse artists and audiences, serve as a space for artistic experimentation, develop local companies, and present groundbreaking national and international work.
