The Center's Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

YOU ARE INVITED to join us on Sunday, October 24, 2021 @ 11:00 AM for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert. As we near completion of a multi-million dollar remodeling that has dramatically reshaped the McDonald-Wright building at 1301 N. Palm Canyon Drive, we are ecstatic to welcome the LGBTQ community back to this special place!

Leading the ceremony will be Center executive director and CEO Rob Wheeler and Peter Daut, a multi-Emmy award-winning journalist and weekday anchor at KESQ-TV. Distinguished guests and speakers will include Palm Springs Mayor Christy Holstege and Mayor Pro Tem Lisa Middleton.

A special thanks to our friends at Cafe la Jefa, Biscuit & Counter, and Native Foods for providing refreshments, and Coachella Valley based duo Las Tias for the entertainment!
