Description

Join us in this exciting panel discussion, focused on the changing face of Aviation Security, sponsored by G4S Secure Solutions.

From terrorist attacks to geopolitical posturing, if there is one industry that tends to find itself dragged onto the frontline of global security and cyber risks, it is aviation. While flying has always been one of the safest ways to travel, thanks to its wide-ranging international regulatory frameworks, aviation incidents have an outsize impact on the public consciousness. With the importance of aviation security emphasized by recent events in Brussels and Istanbul to the shooting down of MH17 over Ukraine - this talk is sure to provide some excellent insight into the changing landscape of Aviation Security in Canada and Globally.

Emerging technologies, the changing character of war, a widening cast of actors and growing reliance on cyber are changing the nature of the threats – creating pressure on the industry to make sure it maintains its safety level, with the number of air travelers projected to nearly double in the next 20 years.

Moderated by, Tony Hunt, General Manager of Loss Prevention for London Drugs, this event will support four-panel-members as follow:

Dennis Fiorido, Regional Security & Investigations Manager Vancouver for Air Canada

Richard Bannister, General Manager - Service Delivery Pacific Region for CATSA

Remco Loevendie, Chief Operating Officer for G4S Aviation a division of G4S Secure Solutions (Canada) Ltd.

Greg Sambrook, Manager Security Programs, Aviation Security at YVR

See you there!!
