Bio:

As a member of the Technology & Innovation group at Teck Resources, Peter is responsible for identifying, validating and implementing transformational technologies that will help transition Teck into the Low Carbon Economy. Peter spent 15 years with technology vendors helping mining companies optimize their fleet management systems before joining Teck, where he led mining and mineral processing technology programs before taking on the decarbonization portfolio.

Abstract:

In 2020 Teck announced it’s updated Sustainability Goals, including the strategic priority to be a carbon neutral operator by 2050. Peter will provide an overview of the evolution of the decarbonization program, strategies developed and details of some early wins.
