Born in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, Renée Landry’s vast taste in music reflects her artistry. An old soul, she brings to life the classic sounds of the jazz & Motown eras, with a new modern age twist.
With the launch of her new tribute concert series, along with two new EP's "Chin Up" & "A Christmas Night", the year 2016 proved to be a successful one for Renée. Her debut tribute show "Back To Black: A Tribute To Amy Winehouse"saw two sold out performances in July (2016) & October (2016), and was met with great praise for her interpretation of Amy's beloved music. In December (2016) Renée hosted her second annual sold out performance of her holiday show "Renée Landry Wishes You A Swinging Christmas" at Live! On Elgin. A tribute to Ella Fitzerald's classic holiday album "Ella Wishes You A Swinging Christmas."
With her powerhouse blues vocals, and fiery stage presence, Renée has been compared to legendary artists Etta James, Amy Winehouse, and Ella Fitzgerald. Currently in Ottawa, and hot off the release of her debut EP Chin Up, in 2017 Renée will be starting work on her first full length studio album.
