Professional Development Series: DiSC Behavioral Program
"It was an amazing workshop! The facilitator Claire was charismatic, engaged the audience and taught me so much about myself and about how to function in the workplace. I feel that I can apply everything I learned." 2014 Workshop Participant (Toronto, ON)
COMMUNICATION. COLLABORATION. ENGAGEMENT.
Understanding your behavioral style and how to effectively communicate, collaborate and engage with others is a skill Claire Sookman of Virtual Team Builders, Canada's pioneer in virtual team building, has been teaching groups for years.
Back by popular demand, the Communication Connection: Getting It Right workshop is an exciting 3-hour professional development opportunity developed to provide participants with the key to understanding and interacting with others. The DiSC Behavioral Program helps to uncover unique personality traits and offers participants techniques and solutions for interacting more effectively with different behavioural styles. DiSC learning leads to an understanding of how to identify the characteristics of each behavioural style, as well as recognize the strengths and challenges each style brings to a team. By the close of the session, participants will have identified some key questions to easily recognize people’s styles, and leave with strategies for "real world application" in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
Hosted by the Canadian Cancer Action Network (CCAN), registration is open to CCAN member organizations (staff, volunteers or consituents), as well as CCAN partners and stakeholders. Space is limited to 25 people. Travel costs are not covered by CCAN.
Deadline to register is 4:00pm EDT, Tuesday, September 20, 2016.
A Certificate of Attendance is provided to participants upon completion.
