"Presenting... The Complete 2017 Survival Kit - Thriving in Today's Economy workshop event to be held Saturday May 27, 2017 from 9:30am to 2:30pm at 45 Dalhousie Drive. This event is designed to help Adults navigate challenges in the areas of health, education, employment, finance, home, and spirituality. Attendees will choose 3 workshops from the topics of Managing Stress and Anxiety, Education for New Immigrants, The Manitoba Job Market, Living Within Your Means, Stretching Your Food Dollar, and Making Your Home a Sanctuary. Registration is open to everyone within the community; however, participants MUST register online at eventbrite website by May 10th, 2017 . A bag lunch will be provided. 3- Job Market in Winnipeg – Aspects of managing your own career will be discussed: job search prospects, where jobs are by industry and occupation, who is hiring, key job search strategies, and job search tools and insights.
4- Making Your Home a Sanctuary – How to make your home a welcoming refuge and a place of peace and harmony.
5- Living within Your Means – This workshop will provide practical techniques that can be utilized to live within ones means and develop financial security – developing a budget, increasing cash flow, debt consolidation, and retirement planning (investing).
6 - Stocking Your Pantry – Deals and Storage - Gain the tools you need to build and use your food storage. Couponing, apps, bulk buying – learn the best places to buy more food for your dollar. Frozen, canned, dried – learn the best ways to store and use the food you buy.
