The Dementia Experience 2017
Wed, 26 April 2017, 3:15 PM – 3:45 PM EDT
The Alzheimer Society in partnership with the Elephants with Pearls Nurse Led Outreach Team Education Day present The Dementia Experience.
This experience is designed to help identify with, and understand the behaviors and needs of people living with dementia.
Trained facilitators guide participants who are outfitted with devices that alter their senses while they try to complete common everyday tasks and exercises.
The experience enables caregivers to feel for themselves the physical and mental challenges those with dementia face. The experience will help the participants to provide better person-centered care.
