Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

This $20 (underwaged tickets available) workshop focuses on the development of the human diet from the time we separated from our chimpanzee ancestors to our emergence as homo-sapien hunter-gatherers 200 000 years ago.
The so-called “Paleo-Diet” will then be analysed from a scientific basis. It will be explained why it sounds good in theory, but fails under methodological scrutiny. We will then discuss what a true paleo-diet would like, the one we have evolved to eat.
The nutrition section of the class will discuss the importance of measuring nutrients per calorie as opposed to by weight or volume. Participants will learn the secret of making 1000s of delicious fat-free soups and the trick of the constant stock pot
The inner Transition/mindfulness section will focus on “Discovering Your Worth” and how it differs from self-esteem. Participants will learn how to avoid self-sabotage through self-forgiveness.
The exercise portion will focus on walking for exercise and how to incorporate breathing exercises and running into your walking.
