Dr Johnson completed her DVM in 2003 and her MVSc in 2006, both at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She became board certified with the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2007. Dr. Johnson has been a diagnostic anatomic pathologist with IDEXX since 2009.

Moderator: Dr. Kymberley McLeod, BSc, (An Welfare), DVM
Dr. Kymberley McLeod is a graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, and worked in private practice for 14 years before moving into educating fulltime. Dr. McLeod was a member of the first Canadian graduating class in Animal Welfare under Dr. David Fraser at the University of British Columbia. She is passionate about furthering the understanding of the veterinary applications of animal welfare science. Dr. McLeod has authored several chapters on applied animal welfare for current textbooks, along with the welfare section of the WSAVA International Dental Guidelines, published in the Journal of Small Animal Practice. Dr. McLeod is an avid hiker and traveler, and has lectured internationally on her special interests in animal welfare, client communication, and furthering the human:animal bond. A Professional Services Veterinarian with IDEXX, Kymberley is currently pursuing her board certification with the American College of Animal Welfare.
