The timelessness, complex and visceral energy and legacy of the East Coast Celtic musical tradition is well represented by favourite sons The East Pointers, whose compulsion to play it is as natural as breathing. Cousins Tim and Koady Chaisson, seventh (!) generation traditional musicians and friend Jake Charron formed the band as a casual vehicle to do some companionable playing, but their combined talents and palpable chemistry swept the trio to world touring and the Juno-winning full-length album, Secret Victory, in 2016. They refine their Celtic roots with masterful pop hooks, deep acoustic grooves, trance-like trad breakdowns and three-part harmonies.
