Lamia Charlebois
Public Relations Consultant, Speaker, Author and Reporter
Lamia has more than 25 years experience in communication. After having worked in large corporations and agencies, she launched her own public relations company in 2003. Her expertise includes: strategic counsel, crisis management, media relations, individual coaching or group workshops in communication, leadership, personal branding and public speaking. Her clients, large companies as well as start-ups, are located in Canada, the USA, Europe and the Middle East. She was a Commentator on Radio-Canada live morning radio show, had a weekly column in L’Express and writes regularly for magazines. A sought after speaker, her TEDx talk reached 30,000+ views. She speaks four languages and has lived in Beirut, Québec city, Ottawa, Toronto and is now based in Montréal. A recipient of a business award (CCICL), a Top 25 Canadian Immigrants finalist, she is also exhibited in the Canadian Museum of Immigration. `"Its better than the fossil museum," she says! Lamia published a book, is writing a second one, co-founded a foundation in her mother’s memory to help women in need pay for their cancer treatments and has launched Libanais de Montréal – Sirop d’arabe (6000+ members) an apolitical, non-commercial and secular platform of information. She holds a B.A. and M.A in Communication and PR. An ex-athletics champion and a former judoka, she continues to practice several sports.
